SWT: Allah’s Absolute Glory and Perfection

The letters “SWT” follow Allah’s Name as a mark of humility and awe. They stand for Subḥānahu wa Taʿālā, “Glorified and Exalted is He.” Each time we say or write it, we renew our recognition that Allah is beyond all need, flaw, and limitation. This learning plan seeks to draw you closer to Allah by deepening your understanding of His attributes, nurturing awe in your heart, and inspiring you to live with greater awareness of His presence in every moment.

One of the most essential pillars of faith is knowing Allah as He has described Himself in the Quran: Perfect, without any deficiencies. Our relationship with Him begins with understanding His majesty and His attributes as revealed in the Quran and Sunnah. That He is Self-Sufficient while we are in need, Pure while we are flawed, and Sovereign while we are limited.

This 7-day journey takes you deep into the heart of Islamic theology, exploring the perfection of Allah in His attributes, words, and actions (Tanzīh wa Kamālullāh) through the Quran, Sunnah (prophetic tradition), and classical scholarship. Each day focuses on a key aspect of Allah’s majesty: His self-sufficiency, purity, sovereignty, flawless creation, His Beautiful Names (Asma’ ul-Husna), transcendence above all association, and ultimate praiseworthiness.

As you move through the days, take your time with each reflection. Let the Quran’s words echo in your heart, let the Prophet’s example (peace be upon him) inspire you, and let the Names of Allah draw you closer to Him.
